Materials Driving Innovation, Unlocking Infinite Possibilities in 3D Printing — eSUN at Formnext Shenzhen
The 2025 Formnext Shenzhen exhibition has successfully concluded. As a long-standing pioneer in the 3D printing materials industry, eSUN showcased its solid technological foundation and clear strategic vision through a systematic materials portfolio and leading process innovations.
I. A Systematic Layout of Flexible and Elastic Products
Building on over 20 years of expertise in polymer synthesis and modification, eSUN has developed multiple TPU products with varying hardness levels to meet flexible printing needs. At this exhibition, eSUN also unveiled its new PEBA series, including PEBA-90A, PEBA-85A, and PEBA-LW.
Foaming technology is one of eSUN’s key strengths. Like TPU-LW and PLA-LW, foamed PEBA can achieve up to 220% expansion. With advantages of lightweight toughness and adjustable performance, foamed PEBA enables cost optimization while providing high-quality solutions for lightweight, high-performance cushioning components such as shoe midsoles and protective pads.
II. Continuous Innovation in Photopolymer Resins
In photopolymer resins, eSUN’s bio-based resin series has maintained strong market performance. The newly launched water-washable transparent resin was well received at the show. The company also introduced elastic photopolymer resin, showcased through 3D-printed one-piece shoes that combined softness and toughness, opening up new possibilities for end-use consumer products.
III. Creativity and Cross-Border Applications: A Multi-Dimensional Stage for 3D Printing
1.Fusion of tradition and modernity
Together with Senyu Technology, eSUN presented 3D-printed paper-cutting and shadow puppetry, merging thousand-year-old intangible cultural heritage with cutting-edge manufacturing technology. This attracted widespread attention and became one of the most culturally distinctive highlights of the exhibition.
2.Art installations and aesthetic materials
The collaborative 3D-printed body art installation by eSUN and STIMAGE highlighted the expressive power of eSUN’s aesthetic materials in color and texture, while also demonstrating the broad feasibility of 3D printing in creative applications.
3.An interactive and entertaining experience
In the 3D-printed robot combat, many children visiting with their families immersed themselves in the fun of offline competition. They enthusiastically joined the robot combat, with some kids returning for multiple rounds. This hands-on interaction gave the public a tangible sense of the appeal and possibilities of 3D printing in everyday life.

These creative and cross-border outcomes fully demonstrate that 3D printing has become not only a vital productivity tool but also a bridge connecting culture, design, education, and daily life. The diverse range of 3D printing materials empowers rich form expression, reliable functionality, and continuous innovation, allowing ideas to move beyond design blueprints and into high-quality real-world applications.
During the exhibition, eSUN also drew attention from multiple 3D printing industry media outlets and was interviewed in depth. In one exchange, Nanjixiong gave high praise to eSUN’s booth:
“eSUN’s booth fully demonstrates its profound foundation as a veteran in materials. Its product strategy does not chase trends but is built on a deep understanding of material science and systematic planning. From colorful aesthetic materials to high-performance PEBA elastic materials and industry-leading in-situ foaming technology, eSUN continues to expand the boundaries of FDM 3D printing capabilities.”
This recognition not only affirms eSUN’s technological strength but also validates its long-term commitment and strategy of deep focus on material R&D.
Looking ahead, eSUN will continue to drive forward with material science as its core engine, combining systematic product portfolios with innovative processes to provide a solid foundation and technological support for the global additive manufacturing industry.
